# What is Muse?

Meta's browsing agent. It went live on 8 September 2026 and has no published user agent or robots.txt token.

- **Documented by operator**: No. The token is known only from community lists such as ai.robots.txt.

Search Engine Journal reported that Amazon blocked it in September 2026; Meta has not documented how to identify it.

Muse has no robots.txt token, so no User-agent rule can target it. Where the operator signs requests with Web Bot Auth, verify the signature and allow or block it at your server or CDN.
