# MCP-servers toevoegen aan Windsurf / Devin Desktop

Windsurf heet nu Devin Desktop. Het leest mcp_config.json, maar de officiële documentatie geeft verschillende locaties voor dit bestand.

- **macOS**: `~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json (current Cascade doc); legacy ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json; FAQ says ~/.codeium/mcp_config.json`
- **Windows**: `%APPDATA%\devin\mcp_config.json (current Cascade doc)`
- **Linux**: `~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json (or $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/devin/mcp_config.json)`
- **Projectbestand**: `.devin/mcp_config.json (Devin CLI / Devin Local project scope)`
- **Sleutel op het hoogste niveau**: `mcpServers`
- **Indeling**: json
- **OAuth voor remote servers**: 

## Voorbeeldconfiguratie

Dit voorbeeld voegt de gehoste server van GitHub en Playwright toe als lokale server, in de indeling die deze client verwacht.

## Opmerkingen en bijzonderheden

- Windsurf is op 2026-06-02 hernoemd tot Devin Desktop en Devin Local is nu de standaardagent.
- De Cascade-documentatie noemt ~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json, de FAQ noemt ~/.codeium/mcp_config.json en het verouderde pad is ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json. Controleer welk pad jouw build gebruikt.
- Devin Local voegt projectbereiken toe in .devin/mcp_config.json en .devin/mcp_config.local.json.
- Externe items gebruiken url, transport http of sse, headers, oauthClientId, oauthClientSecret en oauthResource; Cascade accepteert ook serverUrl.
- Waarden kunnen ${env:VAR} en ${file:path} gebruiken; Cascade beperkt je tot 100 tools.
