Privacy policy

What we collect

Two things are recorded when you visit the site.

• Usage analytics from Google Analytics 4: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived. GA4 sets cookies to do this, and we only see the data in aggregate.
• Web server access logs: your IP address, the page requested, the time, the referrer and your browser's user agent. These logs are used to keep the site running and to stop abuse, and are deleted after 30 days.

What stays in your browser

The generators save their form state, and the security checklist saves your ticks, in your browser's localStorage. This lets you come back to your work later.

That data never leaves your device. You can remove it at any time by clearing site data for dotsagent.io in your browser settings.

What we don't do

There are no accounts, sign-ups or newsletters, so we hold no names, emails or passwords. We don't sell or rent data to anyone, and we don't use it for advertising profiles.

Cookies

The only cookies on the site are the Google Analytics cookies, whose names begin with _ga. The site works fully without them.

To block them, refuse or delete cookies for dotsagent.io in your browser, use a content blocker, or install Google's opt-out add-on for Google Analytics.

Third parties

Google receives the analytics data described above and processes it under its own privacy policy. Fonts and other assets are served from our own server, so loading a page doesn't contact a font provider.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its use. Email hello@dotsagent.io and we will reply within 30 days.

Because we hold no accounts, the most we can usually find is a server log entry, so include your IP address and the rough time of your visit.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
