GPT-6.1 Sol API pricing and specs
OpenAI's coding and professional-work model, released a week after GPT-6 Sol with the cached-input price halved and subagent delegation in beta.
OpenAI positions Sol near Astra's quality at a fifth of the price. Reasoning effort runs from low to max with medium as default. Cache writes cost $2.50 per million and Fast mode doubles the rate, but Fast mode is not offered with EU data residency.
Prompts over 272K tokens are billed at $4 input, $0.20 cached and $15 output per million, and the higher rate applies to the whole request.
